sea salt

What is the difference between sea salt, japanese masu, fleur de sel, and table salt?
  • SEA SALT - Consists of sodium and chloride which are lightly processed. Primarily produced through evaporation of seawater.
  • JAPANESE SEA SALT - Very tasteful, texture is soft and powdery. A little goes a very long way.
  • FLEUR DE SEL - Very tasteful, texture is fine crystals, dissolves much faster than regular table salt. A little goes a very long way.
  • TABLE SALT - Consists of sodium, chloride. and iodine which are heavily processed. Primarily produced from underground salt deposits.
The essential difference between sea salts and table salts are the way they were procssed, texture, and taste. Research has shown that the evaporation process of sea salts leaves behind trace elements which are considered to be healthier for the body. People have obviously loved the noticable flavor that Japanese sea salt and French fleur de sel gives to foods.
